Guidelines and Topics: Final Oral Interview SPN 101

You will have DIEZ minutos to have an oral interview with the instructor. First part: It consists of general questions about your academic and personal life. Be ready to answer any of these questions.
1. Buenos días/tardes/noches. 1. ¿Cómo está hoy?; 2. ¿Está usted cansada/o? ¿Por qué?; 3. ¿De dónde es usted?; 4. ¿Dónde vive usted? 5. ¿Cómo escribe su nombre?; 6. ¿Cómo escribe su apellido?; 7. ¿Trabaja?; 8. ¿Cuándo es su cumpleaños?; 9. ¿Qué fecha es hoy?; 10. ¿Qué hora es por favor?
Second part: We will pick ONE topic for your interview (see below). Please prepare your answers for these topics. Your answers for both parts will be assessed according to these dimensions: Pronunciation, Enunciation, Vocabulary, Uses of Verb conjugations, and Critical Thinking Skills.
Tema 1: La universidad/University life. Dígame acerca de sus estudios universitarios/Tell me about your college studies. Algunas preguntas/Some questions: ¿Qué estudia aquí en la universidad? (What are you studying at school?¿Qué clases toma en la semana? (What courses/classes are you taking during the week?) ¿Cuáles son sus cursos favoritos? (Which are your favorite courses?) ¿Por qué? Algún comentario final. (Make a final comment)
Tema 2: La familia (Family) Dígame de su familia/Tell me about your familia. Algunas preguntas: ¿Cuántas personas hay en su familia? (How many people are there in your family?)¿Dónde viven? (Where do they live?)¿Con quién vive usted? (Who do you live with?)¿Cuándo visita a sus padres? (When do you visit your parents?)¿Cómo se llaman sus padres? (What are the names of your parents? Algún comentario final. Make a final comment.
Tema 3: Los pasatiempos (Pastimes). Dígame de sus pasatiempos/Tell me about your pastimes. Algunas preguntas: ¿Qué hace en su tiempo libre? (What do you do in your free time?¿Cuál es su deporte o pasatiempo favorito? (what is your favorite sport or pastime?¿Por qué? (Why?)¿Qué hace con sus amigos o con su familia? (What do you do with your family or friends)¿Qué va a hacer este verano? What are you going to do this summer. Algún comentario final. Make a final comment.


FINAL ORAL PERFORMANCE
SPN 101

Write a small paragraph (8 sentences minimum) based on the following topics: La Universidad (University Life), La familia (Family) or Los Pasatiempos (Pastimes). You will read this paragraph and this will be recorded the last day of class. DUE: first week of May.
