SPN 101: Mid-TERM Performances Friday March 01, 2013

SPN 101: Mid-Term Performances Viernes/Friday 01 Marzo, 2013

Using the sentences you have written so far in the semester and the grammar exercises, create with another classmate a performance SCRIPT: a dialogue/skit to be performed in front of class. This SCRIPT (in Spanish and English) will have questions and answers related to the content and grammar structures covered so far (see below). Be creative and reuse the sentences you have created and imagine a situation in which you use Spanish language to get to know someone.  Main Topic: GETTING TO KNOW SOMEONE. Possible scenarios/sub-topics: getting to know a new student/person from a Spanish-speaking country in Owensboro, describing where you come from, what you study at Brescia University, and describing some members of your familia. The script needs to have a minimum of eight sentences/ 80 words. Write in English/Spanish the context of your script (a small summary of the situation for the dialogue/skit). See modelo below for a FINAL semester performance.

Possible questions:
1. Buenos días/tardes/noches. ¿Cómo está hoy? (How are you (doing)?; 2. ¿De dónde es usted? (Where are you from?); 3. ¿Está usted cansada/o? ¿Por qué? (Are you tired? Why?); 4. ¿Qué estudia en la universidad? (What do you study at college?); 5. ¿Cómo se llama usted? (How do you call yourself?); ¿Cuál es su/tu nombre? (What is your name?) ¿Cuál es su apellido materno? (What is your mother’s last name?) ¿Cuál es su apellido paterno? (What is your father’s last name?) 6. ¿Cómo se escribe su nombre? (How do you write you name?); 7. ¿Cómo se escribe su apellido? (How do you write your last name?); 8. ¿Dónde vive usted? (Where do you live?); 9. ¿Trabaja? (Do you work?); 10. ¿Cuándo es su cumpleaños? (When is your birthday?); 11. ¿Cuál es su curso favorito? (What is your favorite course/subject (at college)?); 12. ¿Qué fecha es hoy? (What date is today?); 13. ¿Qué hora es por favor? (What time is it please?); 14 ¿Estudia biología? (Do you study biology?); 15. ¿Dónde come en la noche? (Where do you eat in the evenings?)
