ORAL TEXT AND PERFORMANCES SPN 101

Using the sentences you have written so far in the semester, create one TEXT: a small dialogue/skit, or a personal description. This ONE text can have some questions and answers and descriptions at the same time. Be creative and reuse the sentences you have created and imagine a situation in which you use Spanish language. This text will be recorded. Remember to re-use the grammar structures used so far in the course (see below). Possible topics: Getting to know a new student/person from a Spanish-speaking country in Owensboro, Describing where you come from, what you study at Brescia University, Describing some members of your familia, etc. The text needs to have at minimum of six sentences/ 60 words. Write in English/Spanish the context of your text (a small summary of the situation for the dialogue/skit or description).

GRAMMAR ESTRUCTURAS SPN 101 Mid Semester
1. Nouns and Definite and Indefinite Articles; 2. Verb SER in the present tense; 3. Descriptive Adjectives; 4. Cardinal Numbers 1-1000; 5. Time, days, dates, months, seasons, 6. Regular –AR, -ER, -IR verbs endings in the present tense; 7. Interrogative questions and negations; 8. Uses of “A” and “DE”.

Grading
This text will be recorded and will be graded according to this rubric: (1) Pronunciation (2 points); (2) Enunciation (2 points); (3) Vocabulary (2 points); (4) Academic/Cultural content (2 points); (5) Grammar Estructuras (minimum 3 estructuras) (2 points).
