You will have DIEZ minutos to have an oral interview with the instructor. First part: It consists of general questions about your academic and personal life. Be ready to answer any of these questions.

Forming Nouns from Verbs
Some nouns related to verbs consist of the verb stem + -o or –a: esperar: la espera; gustar; el gusto; práctica: la práctica; volar: el vuelo.
Many nouns are formed from the past participle of verbs. They consist of the verb stem + the suffix –ada (for –ar verbs) or –ida (for –er and –ir verbs): bajar (to go down(stairs)): la bajada; comer; la comida; correr: la corrida (bullfight); ir: la ida; llegar: la llegada.
Many nouns are formed from –ar verbs with the suffix –ción. Most of these have English cognates ending in –tion: admirar: la admiración; invitar: invitación;
But transportation: transportar: el transporte.

SPN 102: The Conditional Tense: ¿Qué harías? (What would you do?)
The conditional tense expresses the feeling of future uncertainty generally translated into English as, “would + verb”. It differs from the future tense, which expresses future certainty (Yo iré a Chile a fin de año), in that it suggests possibility were some condition met: Yo iría a Nicaragua pero no puedo (I would go to Nicaragua but I cannot). Note that when using this tense, there will usually be a “but” or an “if” or some other reason given to explain why or why not the action would be completed.
Conditional Tense: Regular formation: -AR, -ER, -IR verbs attach these endings for conditional tense: ía, ías, ía; íamos, íais, ían: estaría, estarías, estaría; estaríamos, estaríais, estarían.
Irregular formation: The twelve irregular conditional stems are:
Podr- (from poder); querr- (from querer); habr- (from haber); sabr- (from saber); dir- (from decir); har- (from hacer)

SPN 102: Informal Commands
Regular affirmative “tú” commands
They are formed by dropping the ‘s’ from the present tense of the verb in the tú person. The use of ‘tú’ is optional.
Ejemplos: Tú tomas agua (You drink water) → ¡Toma agua! (Drink water)
Tú comes pollo. (You eat chicken) → Come pollo (Eat chicken)
Regular negative “tú” commands
They are formed from the present tense stem of the first person ‘yo’. Then you replace the ‘o’ ending with ‘es’ for –ar verbs and with ‘as’ for –er, and –ir verbs.
Ejemplos: Yo tomo (tomar, I drink) → ¡No tomes!.
Yo las como. (comer, I eat them) → No las comas.
Yo digo (decir, I tell/say) → No digas mentiras.

Regular affirmative “tú” commands
They are formed by dropping the ‘s’ from the present tense of the verb in the tú person. The use of ‘tú’ is optional.
Ejemplos: Tú tomas agua (You drink water) → ¡Toma agua! (Drink water)
Tú comes pollo. (You eat chicken) → Come pollo (Eat chicken)
Regular negative “tú” commands
They are formed from the present tense stem of the first person ‘yo’. Then you replace the ‘o’ ending with ‘es’ for –ar verbs and with ‘as’ for –er, and –ir verbs.
Ejemplos: Yo tomo (tomar, I drink) → ¡No tomes!.
Yo las como. (comer, I eat them) → No las comas.
Yo digo (decir, I tell/say) → No digas mentiras.
